--- HORSES! GAMES! RIDING LESSONS! ARTS & CRAFTS! ---

The dates are now set for our Summer Riding Camps of 2007.  The first session will be July 9-12 and the second will be July 23-26.  Camp starts each day at 8:30 and ends at 12:30. For more information, and to register, please print our camp flyer below.

5/11/07 - Housing/Equipment Lists & Other News

The semester is at an end and we have taken down the Barn Cam until the next foaling season.  We hope you all enjoyed waiting in expectancy with us as Kizzie held out for almost two weeks before finally producing a small chestnut colt (he is starting to gray out around the eyes, by the way).

Now is the time for the sophomores to walk the stage at graduation, the freshmen to go off to their internships and incoming students to start planning for fall semester.  To assist incoming students with their preparations, a housing list and the equipment list for Equine majors is now accessible online through the links here or under the "About the Program" section of this website.

4/24/07 - And the Baby's Name is...

The sophomore Reproduction & Genetics class decided on both a barn name and registered name for the new colt today.  In honor of themselves, the Class of 2007 has christened Kizzie & Mister's foal with "Bond 007" for a barn name and "Ima Cool Double 07" for a registered name.  This fits his "cool" personality and is an homage to the one and only Class of 2007.

4/17/07 - More Consignments and Pictures Added

See the 2007 Horse Sale Page to view updated pictures and descriptions on all fourteen of the current sale horses.  The sale is now only four days away so if you have a consignment, please let us know.  Also, the Equine Club will be selling concessions during the sale to raise funds for the sophomore trip this fall.  Please stop and enjoy this year's sale.

4/04/07 - Summer Horse Camps Just Around the Corner

MCC will offer two summer camps again this year - one for ages 8-12 and one for ages 10-16.  Dates are still TBA but we are looking to start at the beginning of June.  Camps are limited to eight students each, so please call soon to reserve your spot on the waiting list. Contact our Director, Tami Thurston at (252) 792-1521 Ext: 213 for more information.

4/01/07 - Barn-Cam up and running!

You can now go to Barn-Cam.jpg to watch for signs of Kizzie's foaling. You will have to manually refresh this image which updates every 10 seconds. Check back soon for automatic refresh.

3/28/07 - Two New Sale Horses Added & Barn-Cam on the Way

Please check out the Spring Horse Sale page.  We have added pictures, pedigrees and two new horses to the list.

In other news, our wireless internet at the main barn is finally up and running.  To celebrate both that and our Arab mare, Kizzie's, upcoming delivery, we will be installing a webcam at the barn to monitor her 24/7 until she foals.  Check back soon to see the MCC Barn-Cam!
