- Housing/Equipment Lists & Other News |
|
|
The
semester is at an
end and we have
taken down the Barn Cam until the next foaling season. We
hope you all enjoyed waiting in expectancy with us as Kizzie held out
for almost two weeks before finally producing a small chestnut colt (he
is starting to gray out around the eyes, by the way).
Now
is the
time for the
sophomores to
walk the stage at graduation, the freshmen to go off to their
internships and incoming students to start planning for fall
semester. To assist incoming students with their
preparations, a housing list and the equipment list for Equine
majors is now accessible online through the links here or
under the "About the Program" section of this website.

- And the Baby's Name is... |
|
|
The
sophomore Reproduction & Genetics
class decided on both a barn name and registered name for the new colt
today. In honor of themselves, the Class of 2007 has
christened Kizzie & Mister's foal with "Bond 007" for a barn
name and "Ima Cool Double 07" for a registered name. This
fits his "cool" personality and is an homage to the one and only Class
of 2007.

Martinganza
2007, despite the very cold weather, was a huge success!
There were over 50 entries in the Saturday night Reining and the
Walk/Jog and Walk/Trot classes each had upwards of 35
entries. Director Tami Thurston exhibited her horse,
Bodacious Ambition, in the Senior Hunter Under Saddle and placed first
under all four judges, earning her the Senior Hunter Under Saddle
Circuit Award. Congratulations, Tami!
